Cameron’s Skillset
Aerospace Engineering
In his time as an Aerospace Engineering student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Cameron has worked several internships for various startup rocket companies at both Vandenberg Space Force Base as well as Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Cameron received a lot of experience in fluid system design and analysis, large scale structural design and analysis, launch vehicle integration, and pad operations. Having worked on two first time launch site activation campaigns from both a ground side and a vehicle side, Cameron has a unique perspective that enables him to add value to any team he finds himself a part of.
Engine Tuning/Calibration
Much of Cameron’s tuning success has come from his roots tuning the carburetors on two-stroke diesel glow engines during his time racing radio-controlled cars. While most of his life has been spent tuning carbureted engines, Cameron has found a passion for tuning EFI systems as well. Familiar with the MoTec M1 platform, Cameron has successfully calibrated paddle shifting ignition cut as well as drive by wire throttle blipping. Cameron is also becoming very skilled in data analysis, developing his own functions within MoTec I2Pro to display metrics such as corrected Volumetric Efficiency and Engine Torque Requested.
Trackside Support and Motorsport Fabrication
Cameron has also worked for an IMSA LMP3 team of the 2022 Rolex 24 Hour as well as the Roar before the 24 at Daytona International Speedway. Cameron got the chance to help the team with tires, fuel, and he also shadowed the team’s spotter. Cameron is also skilled in fabrication, particularly TIG welding steel and aluminum, basic composite layups, tube flaring/bending as well as basic lathe work and basic motorsport wiring techniques.
